MUSIC PRODUCTION CAMP
2026
17TH - 20TH SEPTEMBER 2026
DOMNU VALLEY

Join us an immersive mentorship, for workshops at our on-site studio.
Earlier this year, we loved offering our online music mentorship that we can't wait to bring the magic in-person.
Come and experience self-production for yourself through this transformational weekend in service of your artistic vision.
Yes family!
Earlier this year, our online mentorship for music production was so empowering that we're stoked to open up our doors to an exclusive small group of mentees.
We're always finding ways to give that spark for empowered creativity and authenticity, so we've partnered with RainbowRootRecords to bring that directly to musicians.
Expect a long weekend of studio play, production mindset practices, engineering experience and musical identity development.
All with the intention to upgrade your musicianship, tech-skillsets and confidence.
We'll be leaving you with the fire and knowledge to self-produce and record into the future, giving you the independence and artistic vision execution you deserve.
This immersive journey will guide you through everything you need to start building your incredible and unique musical world through self-empowering production.
We believe that music is an extension of self, and through learning how to self-produce, we also internally meet ourselves.
The world deserves your best artistic offerings, and through self-production we've found expansion and growth in newfound ways that get us closer aligned.
We're passionate about giving the spark and tools for people to empower their own creativity and authenticity, so we've created this long weekend of studio play, experience and musical identity development.
So here we are, here to specifically upgrade your skillset and leave you with the fire and knowledge to self-produce and record into the future!
With the help of expert producers and musicians, sharing over a decade of recording experience in their interactive workshops, we're offering a chance to catylse your production process so you can learn how to get music out however and whenever you want.

When you record from the heart, something real begins to grow.
Your songs become living expressions of your intention and purpose, so each recording becomes this extrodinary chance to meet yourself through your voice and instrument, to work on hearing yourself in a way that reflects who you truly are
Through this process, you learn to record and share what matters most about your music, to create a valuable connection between your musical creativity and recording authenticity.
This camp is for those ready to dive into that deeper relationship with their music, to take raw songs through a recording pathway curated by Patch which fully empowers your sound and story while focusing on real results of mixing and putting on your producers hat.
And vitally, the community aspect of this course supports you through the process of listening back, editing, and refining.
Because we know from first-hand experience that this can come with meeting edges and blockages, which is an entriely human part of the recording pathway, and those moments these moments will be understood held in ways that can uplift us all.
This will be an intimate group of just 20 artists including resident musicians & production mentors.
Applications will close on the 1st September 2026.
ABOUT YOUR MENTOR

Patch Murphy
Patch Murphy is a songwriter, producer, and founder of Rainbow Root Records — a homegrown label born from the belief that raw, honest creation is the most powerful form of connection.
Drawing from years of self-producing, performing, and supporting other artists at home studios, Patch has developed a recording philosophy rooted in presence, curiosity, and creative self-trust. From experience, he knows how the recording process can be very liberating and transformative when done right.
He is currently the in-house producer at Lovejams music studio in Domnu Valley where he lives.
While contributing his skills in high-end studio sessions, his heart is anchored in the philosophy of self-production and accessability. He's found home-recording to be an exciting world with less limitations than we think.
His focus is on helping artists uncover their own sonic language by using simple tools, natural acoustics, and heartfelt performances to create recordings that feel alive.
This mentorship brings together everything Patch has learned from the DIY path — not as a rigid formula, but as a living, breathing framework to help you record your truth, from wherever you are.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is it?
The camp runs Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th September. You'll arrive on the Thursday and leave on the Sunday, giving us three full days together in the studio.
What do I need to bring?
If you have a laptop, bring it. We'll be working in Reaper which is free to download on Mac and Windows, and having your own machine means you can follow along hands on and leave with everything set up and ready to use at home. If you don't have a laptop yet, don't let that stop you coming. You'll still absorb everything, and after the camp we can point you toward the best budget options to get set up. We can chat through that on a call if helpful.
Do I need any recording experience?
Not at all. This camp is specifically designed for musicians who have never recorded before, or who have tried and found it overwhelming. We start from the beginning and build it up in a way that actually makes sense.
Do I need to bring my own audio interface or microphone?
No. We'll have equipment available and we'll show you what everything is and how it works. Part of what you'll leave with is a clear understanding of what gear you actually need at different budget levels, low, mid and high tier, so you can make smart decisions after the camp rather than before it.
What will we actually be doing?
We'll be recording and producing a full song together across the three days, going through every stage of the process from guide track to final mix. Guitar, bass, drums, vocals, synths, textures, the whole thing.
We'll all be encouraged to get our hands on the gear and process, and you can learn just as much from being involved in the process through watching and being in the studio space. We'll collectively grow by hearing each others thoughts while collaborating on producing this track.
You'll learn the 5 Step Mix framework which you can apply to any song you make going forward, and you'll leave with the project files including my mix and a blank template to practice on yourself.
How many people will be there?
The camp is capped at 20 people. It's intentionally small so there's real time and space for everyone.
What's included in the price?
The full experience is £450 if no previous cohort discount or early-bird discount is applied...
Everything across the three days plus a follow up one to one session with me, bookable within 30 days after the camp. This gives you time to go home, practice, sit with what you've learned, and then come back with real questions.
The public discount is £375 for early-bird tickets or for previous cohort members, though the follow-up one to one isn't included at that rate, you can optionally add it for an extra £50.
What if I can't afford the full price?
Get in touch. We never want finances to be the thing that stops someone coming. We can have a conversation about what's possible.
What kind of music is this for?
Anything, really. But the most important disctintion is rather than fully electronic production and workflows that you'd find on a DJ course, we are aspiring to focus on 'band' related workflows, what it takes to record perforances and layer real acoustic instruments, and how that also synergises with our technology and electronic inclusions.
So we open our spaces to all artists that are feeling like developed Singer songwriters or even someone just begining to learn how to produce electronic music. What's more important than the label is the curiosity and deeper knowing that you are interested in self-production. The lanes of your unique production and sound open up from there, and we do not cap anyones potential or creativity by focusing during the camp on acoustic artists, anyone working with organic sounds and real instruments. If you write songs and want to learn how to record them yourself, this is for you.
Will I leave knowing how to record my own songs?
You'll leave with a real framework, real project files, and a real understanding of the process. Whether you're completely ready to record solo straight after depends on you and where you start, but that's exactly what the follow up one to one is there for, to make sure you're not left guessing once you're home.
How do I get there?
Lovejam HQ, Domnu Valley, sit in North Devon, a creative co-living community that really does feel like somewhere special. Part of the experience honestly starts the moment you arrive.
If you're driving you can come straight to us. If not, get to Barnstaple by train and let us know. We'll make sure you get here, simple as that
